Gregory Bedwell, Ph.D.
Instructor in Medicine, Harvard Medical School
Email: GregoryJ_Bedwell@dfci.harvard.edu
Greg received his B.S. in Chemistry (2009) and Ph.D. in Biophysics (2016) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Greg completed his Ph.D. under the mentorship of Dr. Peter E. Prevelige, Jr. During his graduate career, Greg studied mechanisms of virus assembly and worked on developing virus-inspired nanoparticle systems for photocatalysis. Greg moved to the Engelman lab as a Research Fellow in 2016, where he still dabbles in protein chemistry, but his primary interest is in developing and applying novel computational and statistical approaches to genomic integration site data. Outside of the lab, Greg enjoys time with his wife and daughter, cooking, silly jokes, good books, good music, and deep diving into niche topics.
