Rajalingam (Raj) Radhakrishnan
Research Technician – Senior
Email: [email protected]
Raj received his B.Tech. in Biotechnology (2020) and M.Tech. in Biotechnology (2022) from Anna University, India. During his undergraduate and postgraduate studies, he studied T cell engineering for cancer therapy and worked on generating CD19 CAR T cells and characterizing them for B-ALL therapy. He also has experience in generating knockout cell lines using CRISPR-Cas systems. Raj moved to the Engelman lab as a Research Technician in 2023, where his primary interest is in identifying the regulatory roles of various host proteins in HIV infection and integration targeting; by generating knockout cell populations using CRISPR tools, challenging them with HIV, followed by infectivity and integration site sequencing assays. Outside of the lab, Raj likes to cook new recipes, sing-along with good music, binge watch movies, and hike.
